Ruger American Rifle Gen II

Ruger’s new American Rifle Generation II builds upon the legacy of its predecessor, offering enhanced features and performance for hunters and shooting enthusiasts. The updated model incorporates valuable customer feedback, resulting in improved functionality and aesthetics.
The Ruger American Rifle Gen II series is available in multiple calibers in three different models, Standard, Predator and Ranch series, each tailored to specific shooting needs. The rifle is equipped with the Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger, allowing for precise customization of the trigger pull, while the ergonomic stock with enhanced contouring and texturing ensures a secure and comfortable grip in various conditions.
The Ruger American Rifle Gen II features a cold hammer-forged threaded barrel that is available in lengths of 16.1, 20, or 22″, depending on the variant. The metal parts are Cerakote-coated for added durability and easy maintenance, and the rifle comes with a factory-installed Picatinny scope rail for easy optic mounting. The stock includes a soft rubber recoil pad and an adjustable length of pull, ensuring optimal comfort during extended shooting sessions.
The three-position tang safety system provides an intuitive and secure mechanism, allowing the bolt to remain locked during loading with the safety engaged. With options for flush-fit or AR-style magazines holding 3, 5, or 10 rounds, the Ruger American Rifle Generation II continues to set the standard for bolt-action rifles, delivering accuracy, reliability, and comfort for both hunters and target shooters.

Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger
Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable is a user-adjustable trigger that allows the shooter to easily adjust the trigger’s pull weight, without the need to employ a gunsmith.
The Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger provides a crisp release with a customizable pull-weight from three to five pounds. The result is exceptional accuracy for each shooter.
Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable Trigger was developed with safety in mind, featuring a trigger safety blade that sits within the trigger shoe. This safety blade needs to be fully engaged before the rifle can fire. The idea is to prevent accidental discharges if the rifle is dropped or bumped.

Cerakote Finish
Professionally applied Cerakote coating on barrel, muzzle brake, receiver and bolt handle results in a durable, easy-to-maintain finish.
Medium contour barrel features deep spiral flutes that reduce weight at the muzzle end of the barrel to improve balance without sacrificing stiffness or accuracy.
Threaded barrel with factory-installed radial port muzzle brake is cold hammer-forged, resulting in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.

Three Position Tang Safety
The three-position tang safety on the Ruger American Rifle Generation II is a sliding bar that prevents the rifle from firing. It’s located on the tang, a metal strip behind the receiver. The safety has three positions: safe, halfway, and fire. The three position tang safety locks the bolt, preventing inadvertent bolt opening while allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.

Power Bedding
Patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy.
Traditional rifles often utilize a recoil lug. However, Ruger’s Power Bedding system secures the barreled action of the rifle using two V-shaped steel action blocks. These blocks firmly wedge the receiver in place, eliminating any unwanted lateral movement, effectively serving as recoil lugs.

Rubber Recoil Pad
Soft rubber recoil pad features a large radius on the heel for easy shouldering and improved geometry that progressively collapses to reduce felt recoil.
Removing the installed spacer allows for length of pull to be adjusted from 13.75 to 12 inches. Additional spacers of varying sizes for a more refined fit are available.
Installed low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics but can be removed when utilizing low-mounted sights.
